Definition of Converge
Something converges if it approaches a fixed value or point. It might never reach the value or point, but it gets as close as you like to it.
For example, the graph in the picture shows real numbers converging to a fixed value, which is represented by the horizontal line.
The numbers \(0.1,0.01,0.001,0.0001,\dots\) converge to zero.
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms. Students learn a new math skill every week at school, sometimes just before they start a new skill, if they want to look at what a specific term means, this is where this dictionary will become handy and a go-to guide for a student.
