Definition of Concave

A shape is concave if it curves inwards. Concave shapes look like "caves".

For example, a straight-sided figure (a polygon) is concave if it has an indentation - a place where the internal angle is greater than \(180^\circ\).

Description

The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms.
