Definition of Rectangle
A rectangle is a plane (flat) shape with four straight sides that are at right angles (\(90^\circ\)) to each other.
The opposite sides of a rectangle have equal lengths and are parallel to each other.
Squares are rectangles, and rectangles are parallelograms, but not all rectangles are squares, and not all parallelograms are rectangles. You can define a rectangle as a parallelogram in which one of the angles is a right angle.
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms.
