Definition of Revolution

A revolution is a full turn. It corresponds to moving through a \(360^\circ\) angle.

The term "Revolutions per Minute" or "RPM" refers to the number of full turns that are completed every minute.

For example, old vinyl records need to rotate at a speed of \(33 \; \dfrac{1}{3}\) or \(45\) RPM to play their contents properly.

Description
