Definition of Rectangular Prism

A rectangular prism is a solid (three-dimensional) object in which all of the cross-sections are rectangles.

It has six faces, all of which are rectangles, and twelve straight edges.

Both ends of a rectangular prism are shaped like rectangles.

Most boxes are shaped like rectangular prisms.

You might see rectangular prisms called "cuboids" in some books or on some websites.

Description
