Definition of Scale
A scale is a ratio of a length in a drawing (or model) to the length of the object that has been drawn or modelled in real life.
For example, the scale of this gundam model is \(1:100\). This means that the foot of the gundam, which measures \(4 \text{ cm}\) on the model, measures \(400 \text{ cm}\) (or \(4 \text{ m}\)) on the "real" gundam.
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms. Students learn a new math skill every week at school, sometimes just before they start a new skill, if they want to look at what a specific term means, this is where this dictionary will become handy and a go-to guide for a student.
