Time Value of Money refers to the idea that the amount of money in an investment can be increased over time. This is particularly true of compound interest bearing accounts.

 

For example, if Al invests \(\$2,000\) at a compound interest rate of \(5\%\) per year, his investment will grow to \(\$2,100\) by next year.
