Six Sigma Organizations

Six Sigma has martial arts naming convention for many of its professional roles. 

Leader:

The person responsible for managing the executions of a lean six sigmabusiness process, primarily focused on reducing the numbers of non-value added steps within a process. The Six Sigma leaders are usually tasked with coordinating all activities and apprising everyone within process for all progress made thereby ensuring with optimal outcome.
Leader is Senior-level executive responsible for implementing Six Sigma in the business.

Sponsor:

He is a Senior executive is who sponsors the overall initiative of Six Sigma. Sponsors are the owners of system and processes that help coordinate and initiate Six Sigma improvement activities in their areas of responsibilities. 

Champion:

He is a Middle or senior-level executives who sponsors a specific Six Sigma project ensuring that cross-functional issues are resolved and resources are available. 

Black Belt:

He is a Full-time professional who act as a team leader in Six Sigma projects. Typically has four to five weeks of classroom training in team skills, statistical tools and methods. 

Master Black Belt:

He is highly experienced and successful Black Belt who has managed several projects and is expert in Six Sigma tools/ methods. Responsible for mentoring /coaching/training black belts and help in initiative on track for six sigma leader and champions. 

Green Belt:

He is a part-time professional who will participate on a Black Belt project team or leads smaller projects. Typically have two weeks of classroom training in and basic statistical tools and methods. 

Team Member:

Professional who has general awareness of Six Sigma (through no formal training) and who brings relevant experience or expertise to a particular project. 

Team Member:

He is main professional involved and responsible for the business process that is the target of a Six Sigma project.

Description
