Definition of Analogue | SubjectCoach

An analogue signal is a continuous signal that has a continuous change.

For example, we hear a dog's bark because of the expansion and compression of air particles, which leads to the vibration of our ear drums. This is a continuous, physical change, so it creates an analogue signal.

The graphs of analogue signals are smooth and continuous. The graphs of digital signals are boxy.
