Definition of Vertical
Something is vertical if it stands in an upright position. Something moves vertically if it moves in an up or down direction.
For example, the lamp posts in the picture are vertical.
Movement from side to side is called horizontal movement.
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms.
