Definition of Line Symmetry

Definition of Line Symmetry

Line Symmetry is another way of describing reflectional symmetry.

If an object has line symmetry, then one half of the object is a reflection of the other half.

The vertical, red dotted line is an imaginary line along which you could fold the butterfly and find that both halves match up together perfectly.

We call this line an axis of symmetry.
