English A exam practice

The short story about a lost watch repeats an object at important moments. Choose the focus that explains how the object carries meaning. Use the visual organiser to keep the claim, proof, method, and effect connected. Choose the analytical focus, evidence choice, and technique choice, then select the interpretation that best explains meaning, reader position, audience response, or comparison.

Worked practice: build the analysis

Construct the analysis one move at a time, the way an examiner reads it: focus, evidence, technique, then effect.
