About this worksheet

Suits Years 3 to 5

Angles to sort by size family: acute (sharper than a square corner), right (exactly the corner), obtuse (wider than the corner).

The reference is always 90 degrees, and any book corner supplies it. Classification comes BEFORE measurement in angle education: first the families, then the protractor.

How to make your worksheet

  1. Give the sheet a title, or keep the one suggested.
  2. Press Generate for a fresh page of angles.
  3. Print it. Answers included.

Every press of Generate lays out a fresh sheet, ready to print on A4.

Common questions

A memory hook for the names?

Acute means sharp, a cute little angle; obtuse rhymes with the goose that waddles wide. Silly hooks hold: that is their job.

Does the length of the arms matter?

Not a bit, and this is THE misconception: a tiny drawing of a wide angle is still obtuse. The angle is the amount of turn between the arms, not the ink used to draw them.
