What errors should I seed?
This week's teaching point, repeated: if the lesson is capital letters, seed six missing capitals, not a grab bag of typos. Tell students how many errors hide in the passage; a known count turns vague reading into a determined hunt.
Where do I get passages?
Write three sentences about your class, the school event, or a story they know, then break them deliberately. Familiar content lets all attention go to the errors, and children love finding mistakes in sentences about themselves.
