Woolwich Dock and Parklands

Favorite
Woolwich Dock and Parklands is both a working maritime precinct and one of Sydney's most beautiful foreshore parklands. Explore Sydney's maritime past with a visit to Woolwich Dock where boats have been built and repaired for more than a century. Watch vessels being lifted in and out of the water at this majestic sandstone dry-dock, which is linked to parklands by picturesque walkways with breathtaking harbour views. The adjacent Woolwich Lookout is a dramatic cantilevered platform that juts out over the dock's sandstone cutting, offering sweeping views of the maritime activity below as well as the city skyline, the Harbour Bridge, and the nearby Lane Cover River and Balmain peninsula. The surrounding paddocks and parks, linked by scenic walking tracks, are the perfect place for a picnic. Or relax and have lunch at the Deckhouse restaurant and function centre on the foreshore of Woolwich Dock.
