The thing I like most about tutoring is getting to know students individually and being able to teach in a way that really works for them. I have studied a lot of different things in my life and I can relate to people's different interests and different ways of learning. My great passion is for the Arts. Writing, drawing, creating things. My PhD is in literature. I teach English, creative writing, academic English for overseas students. I can also tutor in art, if you like. In the past I have tutored all age groups and levels from primary school to university, local students and students new in Australia from overseas.I have a CELTA qualification, so teaching English as a foreign language is great for me! This is how I work: We set up an initial meeting, work out what kind of structure and content we want. Look at some basics - what you need, how you learn best etc. That first session is free. After that, we get down to work using the structure we have agreed on, focusing on areas we have agreed to focus on. I can be available most days so we can probably work out a time that suits.
