Cindy's Piano Studio welcomes students of all ages, from beginners to advanced. I strive to develop the potential in each of my students, with the focus being the enjoyment of music-making. Since the age of 5, I have been playing piano. In 2008, I came to Australia to study with leading concert pianist Kevin Power. The following year, I received a scholarship to study music at the University of Queensland, with Dr Liam Viney (Yale). Since then, I have learnt from performers such as Dr Anna Grinberg and Brachi Tilles. Having learnt piano from very different pianists, I have an appreciation of the different approaches with which music can be taught. I understand the struggles my students may experience and can find solutions for each of them, whether it be technical, or musical. I have experience preparing students for AMEB, up to diploma level. A try-out lesson is a full one-hour piano lesson, and it is a great way for us to meet first hand and for you to experience my teaching style. This is first scheduled before agreeing to on-going lessons, and is $45/hr.
