About This Experiment

Calorimetry measures heat transfer using the principle Q=mcΔT, where Q is heat energy, m is mass, c is specific heat capacity, and ΔT is temperature change. Different materials have different specific heat capacities, determining how much energy is needed to raise their temperature. This virtual calorimeter allows you to explore these relationships safely.
