Hi, My name is Luke, i am 29 years of age and am a fully qualified Maths teacher (Bachelor of Secondary Ed. - Maths/Phys Ed.) who has been teaching for 8 years and tutoring for the last 5 years. Unlike during school, tutoring gives the opportunity for one on one or small group tuition. I offer specific numeracy tuition or additional work on current mathematics units being covered in class up to Grade 12 (excluding Maths B and C). The latter being particularly effective (all notes/work are filed for study use leading up to exams/assessment). Since taking on small group sessions in 2011, they have proven to be most beneficial. I have found that students get as much, if not more out of these sessions as many students feel more comfortable in a small group setting. In 2014, i will again be offering homework group. This is designed for students or parents who struggle for whatever reason, to complete this by the deadline given. This was particularly effective with small groups. Without consolidation, the knowledge just doesn't stick.
