After supporting my dyslexic son through his schooling, I have become passionate about teaching students who struggle to read and those who learn differently. I enjoy communicating and connecting with every student I teach. I tutor according to children's specific educational needs and adopt teaching methods and strategies to reinforce their leaning. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and Early Childhood. I taught for 12 years as a Learning Support Teacher in a primary school setting. I have recently trained in the Multisensory Structured Language method (as recommended by the Australian Dyslexia Association). This method offers structured, sequential and explicit instruction in every area of literacy and has proved very successful with dyslexic students and those who learn differently.
