Gustave Fragrifert (1880-1911?) was a brilliant but ill-fated French perfumer who never managed to bring a single one of his exquisite perfumes to market. In 2011, one hundred years after he went missing in Borneo, some of Gustave's possessions reappeared in New Zealand, allowing us a welcome glimpse into the neglected olfactory oeuvre of this hitherto unrecognized master perfumer. Fragrifert Parfumeur™ was created to rescue the legacy of Gustave Fragrifert from oblivion. It is my great pleasure to present to you, after a full century, those few of Gustave’s olfactory masterpieces that I have so far been able to reconstruct according to his meticulous -albeit veiled- instructions.
