A modern restaurant by owner-chef, Dan Hunter, Brae is set on 30 productive acres. Visitors are invited to interact with nature and eat from the land with lunch and dinner menus reflecting a connection to the land, the restaurant's pristine natural surrounds and the productive region of The Otways.
The land at Brae is managed using organic principles, producing seasonal vegetables, olives for extra virgin oil from an established grove of more than 100 trees, stone fruits, citrus, nuts, berries, honey and free range eggs.
Brae has been awarded the Australian Gourmet Traveller 2015 New Restaurant of the Year, Regional Restaurant of the Year, Three Stars, Three Glasses, Rated number five Restaurant in Australia. The Age Good Food Guide 2015 Restaurant of the Year, Three Hats.
Brae's additional accolades include The Australian Magazine Hot 50 Restaurants 2014 Hottest Regional, Hottest Victorian. Time Out Melbourne Food Awards 2014 Restaurant of the Year. Restaurant and Catering Savour Awards for Excellence 2014 New Restaurant Winner.
