Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum
Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum

The Memorial was built as a lasting tribute to the gallant men of Goulburn and district, who served in World War I.
Opened in 1925, the War Memorial is a square tower of stone and concrete standing 20 metres high, with Rocky Hill as its pedestal. Inside the tower is a tablet inscribed with the names of those who enlisted from the Goulburn district. The lookout gallery at the top of the memorial provides spectacular views over Goulburn and surrounds.
A collection of World War I artefacts is housed in the adjacent cottage, with weapons, personal items used by soldiers, memorabilia and medals on display. The local history room displays Goulburn's association with, and contribution to, the two world wars. Each object tells a unique story of survival, mateship and the history of warfare.
